Welcome to Butebai Oil Palm Estate

Butebai is an oil palm proposed project which is located in the coastal area of the Bialla Local Level Government of Talasea District in West New Britain Province. Since Oil Palm is the main cash crop in West New Britain, Butebai is proposing an oil palm estate to be established on its 1,611 hectares of land which was recently acquired from the Lands & Physical Planning Department.

Butebai will mainly be specialising in the planting and harvesting of oil palms. Our fresh fruit bunch (FFB) will be locally marketed to the existing oil palm companies such as New Britain Palm Oil Limited (N.B.P.O.L) and Hargy Oil Palms for downstream processing of palm oil and other products. 

Butebai prefers an establishment of oil palm estates because it is one of the very demanding crops on the world markets and also, West New Britain yields a good grounding for oil palm. Since the settlers have at least 3 to 4 hectares of oil palm blocks which earns at least US$500 fortnightly, Butebai will be earning around US$1 million a fortnight which will be a great benefit to the company, community, province and the country as a whole.
